Last month report
Amsterdam, august 3rd, 2007,
Earth-time.
We got a warm and
friendly welcoming by the Earthlings.
We anticipated to be building on our outpost in
Amsterdam for a while with a fair set of paperkits, but since we
got spotted on Notcot, blogs all
over the world took notice and reported the
sighting. This snowballed onto fora which
eventually exploded into 1000
visitors every week.
First that was obviously very complimentuous, but
soon we realised that it implied building
galleries and rigorous changes to the website's
structure. It's still trial and error, since we
haven't figured out the local language of HTML
and CSS yet. Even this newsbulletin you are
reading right now is new material for us to
master (Thanks to Nynke to be of big help in
this!), so bear with us the basic look and
feel. It might stick with us for a while.
On the other hand, as you can see above, new kits
have been bred and put into hibernation as bits
and bytes on the Earth's internet
for free downloading.
Three new series have
been started:
First of all 'They're coming', a
series with easy-to-build vehicles, meant to
be brought to life by young modellers.
Secondly 'DIY: Custom-Eyed
Bear', a series to be created by local
designers. And third 'Emotikits', for a bit
of needed fun at Earthly offices,
where we calculated a lot of computers and
internet-access would be. We try to experiment
all over the globe untill we really connect to
this planets atmosphere.
