Hi Family!

This is going to be the last newsbulletin for a long while, since Maarten en Nynke are having a sabbatical holiday for the next half year! Sorry for all the new family-members, but we believe it’s all going to be for the good of 3EyedBear. We finished 4 new kits just in time, we signed a probable big deal with Hewlett Packard and will appear in the long awaited book by Matt Hawkins. And Maarten started a restyling, but didn’t manage to get it done before leaving.

Last month report
Amsterdam, December 10th, 2007, Earth-time.

Last period earth-reporters kept writing about us.
In print we had a little interview with NRC-next, a local newspaper and Singaporese magazine 8Days even shared us among the three best paper-craft websites in the world (earth that is)! We are glad that one reporter hadn't too much time investigating ;)
We also finished an interview with colleague Matt Hawkins for his upcoming paperkit-book. Since this book will be focusing on paper-characters, 3EyedBear will personally appear in it.

Another backstage development is the ongoing wish for refreshment of the website, which gets stalled by our realisation that kits deserve more priority. Maarten went with a horror-edition and a protest-version in which all paperkits are demanded to be freed. The latter came a long way, but has again been postponed. Well, to only think about a new look seems to be how far the styling goes thus-far :)

Four new kits came out:
The biggest news is probably the fact, that we created 3 exclusive kits for Hewlett Packard: a custom Bear, an Emotikit-set and an all new kit: Truck. The idea behind Truck is to create a series of kits, all accompanied by little characters, who can step in each others vehicles or houses. It’s designed to eventually be a little community called KitCity. The kits can be downloaded from reseller Pagro's website from January 1st 2008 on and if it’s going to be successful, HP wants us to create a paperkit every month for at least a year. For you a guarantee that new kits WILL appear, free for downloading :)
Besides this, we created SnowBoy as a warm companion during cold days. Well, ehm, right now and here at basecamp.

Near future plans

This one is easy:
For the next 6 months, Maarten and Nynke will be in Honduras not planning to do anything but just being there. The website will be fully operational, but we wont be refreshing it. Please keep on sending feedback and support though. We will hook up with you in July.

We wish you all a happy and healthy 2008!
