Howie Owl – hoot hoot!

TAGS: None

OwlPromoThe first kit of the new year is this deceivingly simple looking little owl to expand the bird-population in 3EyedBear’s universe.

We all know owls are one of the wisest creatures and this one certainly will be one day too. Thing is: she’s still very young and inexperienced, but she compensates that with a passion for reading thick books while you sleep. It don’t hurt to have her posted in your bedroom since owls hunt for little scary creatures by inborn instinct. She will watch over you.
Happy dreams everyone ;)

Collect them all! and adopt my chicken-brothers and -sisters too:
Owly, Otus, Hoothoot!, Red, Tunkuruchu, Shelbey, Lowly, Orly, Sophia, Brady, Octavia, Bubblegum, Charlie
This photo shows them all >>> click!

Edit: Thank you for all the lovely blog-title suggestions in the comment-box. We’ll go with Lling’s suggestion, so we would like to thank her in particular. We’ve adopted some names too out of humble appreciation for all your thoughts.  :)

Now let’s send some pictures of one of the owls and share how you are taking care of them. We would love to see the birds migrate all over the globe and will post the best ones in our Flickr-pool.

-Darla from delicious Bakingdom created 3 Harry Potter-themed owls here for downloading.

With all those birds falling out of the air around the world lately, this gorgeous creature would be a welcome addition to the flock (or is the proper phrase a parliament of owls).

I don’t write and speak very well english, but i have a suggestion for the name:

tunkuruchu or kulte’ (to mean owl in the languaje mayan)
    and
iikim (to mean barn owl in the languaje mayan).

I can’t find Snowy. I am a wedding planner that is doing a Harry Potter themed wedding, and I would like to use the owls as part of the “Owlry” Do you have a white and black owl?

  104. admin
    on Jun 24th, 2013
    @ 9:54 am

Thank you for your interest in creating paper owls from 3eyedbear Priscilla. I DO have a black and white version of the owls, but am hesitant to share them.

First of all, having them created by a wedding-planner for a wedding-ceremony does seem as ‘commercial use’ for which I did not intend the free downloadable owls to be. I mean, I’m guessing that you do not plan this wedding for free.
Also, the special black and white versions I created where done exclusively for a design-shop in Holland and I’m not sure if it would be fair to just hand the same designs out. For free.

BUT if you still plan for free use of the owls for a Harry Potter-themed ceremony I can think of two ways here:
-Darla from Bakingdom (link is in the post) has created HP-versions of the owl, maybe they could work for you if you would ask her.
-You could print out one of the featured owls in GREY-TONES (a setting on any printer) and end up with black and white owls. You probably have to try all the different owls to find the one that works best.

I hope this will work out for you, otherwise please let me know.

What fantastic templates you have very kindly let us have. I will have so much fun making these – the owls and the truck and car are fabulous.

Thank you so very much. Unfortunately I do not own a digital camera so will not be able to show my creations.
